WEBJan 7, 2013 · New Head-Fier. I've got some dt990s and listening to the songs you posted I can't hear any imbalance. If you get an amp it may have a balance feature where you can adjust the volume for each ear (e.g. FiiO E17) and above the 32Ohm version the dt990s really benefit from an amp so it would be a good investment.

WEBJul 8, 2001 · These are arguably the most open feeling Beyers I’ve used. DT 1990 Pro. This is the T1 Gen 3, see it's more like the DT 990 Pro/Premium in it's opening. The main difference between the Pro and the Premium is the housing shape/size, some damping differences, and the pro has a stronger clamp out of the box.

But, one goal of this mod, beside making the headphone balance “capable”, is also to make it, “cable interchangeable”. Which is not the case, out of the box.

In fact, some reviews say that the Edition/Premium 250 Ohm has less bass and more piercing highs due to less clamping force, and the Pro 250 Ohm one has more bass and more controlled highs due to more clamping force. WEBDec 6, 2010 · The DT880 has dotted outer earcups, and the DT990 has slatted outer earcups. In person, and in my opinion, the DT880 looks superior to the DT990. But of course, all of this relies on the users opinion and preference. Both do look great, but the DT880 simply looks better.
