That aside, the M50x are amazing and i have owned a pair for a number of years. They are closed and do have good bass - but it is just that, good, true to sound bass.

If using USB, try using the direct connections (and make sure you dont have the wrong one plugged in the wrong spot when you do, I do that all the time lol). Also if you're connecting it into a speaker and not directly the laptop, try directly into the laptop.
